Job and Training Opportunities
The National Institutes of Health National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, MD is offering paid six-month internships in the areas of health communications and science writing. These internships provide students who are completing their master's or doctorate degrees with an opportunity to be a part of vital health and science communications projects. Eligibility is limited to US citizens, students currently enrolled in a graduate school program, prior to completing the requirements for a Master's degree or PhD; and, individuals with an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher. The program is six months minimum in length, with an option to renew up to one year. One session runs January 2-June 30 and the other session runs July 1-December 31. Summer terms are not available. Application packages must be postmarked by March 15 for the July through December session and September 15 for the January through June session. For details, click on the NIH link above.
